Grade 2 listed property in Downley completed

We completed a beautiful Downley cottage yesterday, it’s grade 2 listed due to being way over 300 years old and believed to be the first house ever built in Downley. The specification we recommended was to take all stain back as far as possible during preparation, resin repair all the damaged timber, apply Sikkens HLS base coat (2 coats in many areas) then we applied 2 coats of Sikkens Filter 7 top coat to all the windows and doors in a Walnut colour. We also painted many downpipes and stack pipes in Dulux Weathersheild black gloss due to UV damage. As we were ahead of schedule and had some stain remaining we decided to try and get a third top coat on to as many areas as possible before 5pm. Mike the owner and his wife Shinad are delighted with the finish and wrote in to the office to say how pleased they are with the work.

We were pleased with the work we had done; the decorators were well presented, pleasant and very helpful. ABK were actually recommended to us by a friend and we would be happy to recommend ABK to other friends and colleagues. On the whole we are very happy with the whole ABK experience.
