Repair Care (Resin Repairs)

Using a Repair Care resin based system we carry out wood restoration works and save valuable existing structures such as very old historic windows. Resin repair is a more cost effective option than a carpentry repair and can actually be carried our on any wooden window, gate or door.

Over a decade ago we were trained in application of resin as an alternative to using two-packer filler. We found that the results were better than actual timber replacement. Over the years, resin repair has been proved to be very effective and the guarantee of the resin is that it actually lasts longer than the timber either side of it.

We have became very well known for our skills in this trade, including the sculpturing of it; so much so that our product suppliers always recommend us to their potential clients.

Our expertise in resin has led to us being requested to carry out works in National Trust properties and Country Estates.

Specialist Sealers

Regularly we are asked to carry out varying types of specialist works. Usually, this is due to the property being damaged or neglected, examples of which include public houses, catering kitchens and insurance claim related works, usually being water or fire damaged.

Zinsser, which is the product we use most commonly at present, can be used across many different scenarios in many formats.

In areas in which there is a heavy usage of cooking fats and oils, such as commercial kitchens, we use other products to carry out the sealing.

ECO Painting

ECO friendly paint can be used as an alternative to other paints.

We ensure that we are in a position to recommend certain finishes and products from nearly all the available paint suppliers, as we feel that environmental issues should always be considered.

In addition to using ECO products, our trade workers are trained in the use and application of a Paint Solidifier and Environmental Wash System within our association with the Dulux Trade Contract Partnership. Our aim is that together we will take a large step towards greener painting and decorating.

Throughout many contracts, we leave the leftover and remaining paints on site for touching up. On occasions when we are asked to remove paint from site, we use a Dulux Paint system Solidifier. When this product is mixed into leftover paint it creates a solid mass, which we then dispose safely at the Dulux Decorator Centre can recycling service.

On larger contracts we use a Dulux ES450 wash system or ES160 (see datasheets link below) which allows us to wash out various equipment without polluting the environment, including brushes, spray guns and rollers.
