The Chequers Inn Case Study

“ABK have just completed a large painting and decorating and building work project at our hotel, Chequers Inn near Wooburn Green. I found all the workers to be extremely reliable and friendly, the effort that was taken to ensure all working areas were left clean and tidy (which included Ground Floor, First Floor, Bar, Reception and Toilets) was much appreciated as this helped us to continue our business with minimal disruption.

Internal and External painting and refurbishment to the Chequers Inn Hotel, Wooburn Common.

Project Requirements

We have carried out a number of projects at the Chequers Inn. The first project was to carry out Internal decoration to a new extension of 12 additional rooms. We have also carried out internal decoration to the older bedrooms at the hotel and the reception area. We were then asked to paint the exterior of the hotel.

Since then, we have carried out a full redecoration to all of the older rooms after a full refurbishment, we were put forward as preferred suppliers for painting works.

Solution Implemented

We used a range of paints such as Johnstones Durable Matt mixed paint in the bedrooms, Cova Plus, Zinsser primer and sealer. On the exterior, we carried out some repairs to the beams using the Repair Care System and applied Dulux Weathershield Ultimate Opaque for a required satin finish ensuring maximum

Challenges Overcome

Working around guest bookings at the hotel to enable a safe working environment and to avoid disrupting any guests.
